its the time of the year where i get weird feelings, feeling really "awwww" about everything. mainly cause the end of the year is here again. like it was few days ago you were anticipating chinese new year coming, birthdays to celebrate and so on. nownow, you're a year older and have not really seem to accomplish all you list down on the last few days of 2005.

how many times have we all said,
'lets meet up really soon'
or,
'tomorrow, tomorrow i will remember!'
but, out of the many many times, how many times have we really did that.

however, this year on the whole has its fair shares of ups and downs. plenty of lessons to learn from to make me a much better person and lots of happenings that made me gain experiences. at the end of the day, im glad i made several new friends in my journey through life, and also kept my old friendship strong and growing. without my friends around, there wouldnt be the shirley you see today. everyone who stepped into my life made an impact - even if you didn notice it.

and yes, one of my new year resolution is to cherish my friends: old&new and be good to them. im glad to say i have made friends that i loved really dearly. friends where after going through much together, they become part of your life. even though life have moved on for both parties, but you know, they are still in somewhere in part of you.

year 2007 will be a great year.
life is too short and uncertain to waste more time.

christmas eve was wonderful. and which of course leads to an unforgettable christmas day. and i must say, this year's festive season is absolutely awesome.

but first, i want to share some pictures i have taken on my trip to Malaysia: Genting&KL
the BIG and comfortable coach i took down to Genting on Day 1

not forgetting the hotel we stayed in, 5 star hotel: Genting Highland's level lift lobby(: (the 1st one is the 15th level lobby, followed by the main lift lobby)

we headed down to KL the next day by bus and followed by their "MRT". Total journey 2 hours.

The Super-Duper big Megamall at KL-Midvalley. and not forgetting, my favourite ice-cream seen in the background, Baskin' 31 Robbins! woot! XD

and i really enjoyed my trip, every single bit of it. the quality time spent with my family and so on. =)

plus! of course, the shopping done. =X

and so, christmas is coming round the corner.
holidays been really refreshing and recharged, but the only one suffering is my wallet which grew seemingly thin and underfed. well, well, well, it is the season to care and share(:
which is a good thing i gather cause, it only comes once a year and the fun, laughter and wonderful memories you share makes it all worth while.

i simply cant wait for the gathering awaiting tonight. the games we will play, the food we will eat and so on. -drools. XD

oh what fun, it is to ride,
on a one horse open sleigh.


after today, i would be taking a short trip down to our neighbour, Malaysia!

and i will be back in town for christmas thou(:

and sometimes, kids are so innocent, eager to learn and gather new knowledge; never once stop asking questions. small little stories and jokes can make their day or put a smile to their face. even cute wrapping found on the cover of sweets amaze them.
i believe that learning ought to be fun right from the start rather than overloading their little brain and pressurizing them to score well. when they are having fun learning, the more they will absorb and remember. after all they are still kids, playful by nature. by pressurizing them with loads and loads of work/assignments/classes to do make them grow old faster as they get tired of their life. and what kind of childhood is that? - years down, would they regret that they never had chance to really play?

this is the little girl i've been teaching for the past 4 months. coming so far, im really proud of her and recent achievement for the end of year exams. She scored a grade 5 for her english exam! (the highest is 6). no doubt she might be like any other little girls who have mood swings, loves to play and adores cute things, she never stop to learn and work hard! at her age, she already know when is time to play and when is time to study. im so glad im blessed with such a lovely girl(:

i know that with her determination and attitude she will make it big.

not forgetting this kids i used to look after when i was teaching at a childcare before i entered poly. from top to bottom respectively: Bittu and Akash. i will never forget those good and bad times we shared together. good with all the laughter and mischief they never fail to bring to us. bad times like the sudden poo on the floor or spitting food all over. but at the end of the day, you know it is worth it. seeing them growing bigger and bigger day by day, as they start walking the long path of life awaiting them with excitement they have yet to unveil.

and they will grow up and be successful too.

not one. but all of them.

funny how students around the world get different treatment?
local sporean students get piles and piles of homework from school, on top of that the common enrichment classes, remindal and so on so forth. - is that really called school holidays?
students in international school received one homework for the holidays. and that home work is to "PLAY".

no wonder, more kids are under stress, because they lacked of play.
so, now when we are still young, we ought to make the most outta it. play hard; study hard.

its a quiet saturday i guess, rainy, quiet and dark saturday to be exact.
aint exactly on the pink of health these few days but i guess everything will be okay in a few days time. but still, i dislike those medicine. and it comes along with the headaches, drowsiness and everything.

if only, if only, if only.
and i keep repeating,
just two more to go.
mayb, things would have been much better?



christmas is round the corner once again, and its time to shop for the dear ones. hahas. it is after all the season of giving and sharing. =)
Dear Santa: i think i have been a rather good girl this year. -smiles.


had a little catching up session with my dearest girlfriend, val, today. =) we went to Billy Bombers to had our meal. wow i must say, the serving is really very huge! two of us shared one main course and ate till we were super full. but then, they had this really weird rule that says, when you order a drink, you cannot share it with anyone. =/ what a weird weird rule. so it became really very tricky to drink the drink that we bought. we have to like look out for the waiter, make sure the waiter is not looking and take a quick slip. hahahs. saw some pretty stuff that were feast for our eyes thou.

somehow even after so many years, we are still quite close. and im really really very glad. come to think of it, i really missed having my girlfriend with me to chat chat chat along. XD

today passed rather fruitfully(:
did a couple of household chores for my mum, pack my table and my room and was rewarded with super delicious cherryLIQUEURS. =D

after all the sweat and the hardwork, a nice walk with the cool breeze and evening moonlight made everything nicer by the touch.

seriously, mayb its something to do with the air around the class or the fact that it is the last day of school thus my feeling of being sleepy. extrememly sleeply to be exact.

wellwell, for the past 11weeks in E37F, i really enjoyed myself!
the people are really fun and nice to play around and work with.
but for now, a well deserved break is needed badly.
there is time for joy and play; of course a time for rest as well. =)

CAKES. heavenly chocolate cake we had yesterday(:
helped to curb my craving for chocolate and also, made me high on sugar rush.
and that followed by more more fun.
no doubt its over, memories stays.

for now, im working on a new design for my blog something that im doing right from scratch.
