and so the Ripcurl IVP competition ended after Tuesday.
but it was really fun but tiring. haha. on the first day, it was the qualification round for all the categories. Women's novice started in the early afternoon and completing among another 24 other ladies. it was a tough fight especially in my heat where all were super strong, leaving me coming in last for the heat. but luckily there was another round of last chance qualifier! (: top 8 were choosen for semi-finals. so the rest of us have to fight for the next 8 places. and im glad to come in 2nd for my heat and enter the semi-finals. weees, so happy. furthermore, with my mere 4 months of experience as compared to the rest of the girls i managed to make it to semi-finals.

the next day came in a flash, the day of the semi-finals. i guess somehow there were butterfiles in my tummy! i fell on a really stupid trick during my passes. and i didnt make it through to the finals. but its all about the fun and experience. i really thank my friends for their constant support and encouragement. even those from tp who cheered for me and encouraged me. (:

it was a really nice experience hanging out with the other wakeboarding peeps from other schools as well. and i must say they really ride impressively well. i hope that one day, our school team will be able to reach that level too! and im happy for P who won 1st in the Men's open category.

im starting to get the jitters as the date for wakeboarding IVP competition draws nearer and nearer. Today initally we had 2 slots each to practice our tricks and passes, however, of all days today morning had to be low tide, thus pushing our practice session to start at noon with only 1 slot avaliable for most of us. but still, im glad there is still 1 slot for me to practice my tricks and my passes. There is still one more trick i need to brush up futher and make it better! Hopefully i will be able to do it perfectly this Friday. (:

i guess, besides me, the other riders are feeling nervous as well! today i saw TP girls training and they really have this very pretty and cool school bikini, mostly sponsored by school and Ripcurl. uber cool! hehes, i hope one day RP will be able to reach that standard too. But still im very happy with the progress of our school team. and i know that we can do it if we believe!

ADVENTURE SINGAPORE 2007 was held yesterday at Ngee Ann City from morning to night.

I went to help out in the wakeboarding segment, Rail-Jam. And it was rather fun, thou im sure it will be better without the constant downpours. haha. Just as we were about to feel dry from the previous downpour, it rains again. but still, the event went on for us. its like watching wakeboarding on land, as the pros showcase their bag of tricks on a short distance of the ramp in the middle of the pool. hahas. and, you dont really call them pros for nothing. ((: i helped out in video-camming the whole event with this digital cam in water-proof casing! lol. its indeed handly with the rain and stuff.

After that, we stayed to help out to pack. and its really tiring! we have to empty the water from the pool and do it gently without flooding the whole orchard road. initally, we tried to just empty it from this small hole by the side, and after ages, the water level is still the same! so we decided to tilt the pool and who knows, the amount of water that gushed out nearly sweep one small booth by the side away. Well, i stayed till around 12 plus at night to help out until me and val were dead tired. and it was still far from completeing. so we left by cab while the other guys stayed till 4am? to finish everything. gosh.

but its an exciting and fun experience. ((:

weee, i love my FYP mates.



no doubt we do have our share of problems at times, im glad to say that we make a fantasic team together. without anyone of us, it will no longer be the same anymore. within the short span of few weeks, it taught me pretty much about sacrificing. we cannot really get the best of both worlds, thus we need to plan and do what's best. (:



surely after going through so much, i will miss working with them. but thats not all for the project. we still have a pretty major part left to complete that will ensure if we do get to visit Cannes or not. hahas.

wow, been really busy this holidays that i have no time to update! lol, with all my FYP and wakeboarding.

lets start with fyp first, hahha. now we are like almost half way through the peak of the project already. and its been a great success so far i must say. thou there are still alot of unpredictable stuff that happened suddenly. and i learnt a lesson that is, you got to know is trustable or not. make the right decisions. haha.

and, wakeboarding is super fun. that day, we just had the first few lessons of the beginner course. haha i really enjoy seeing how they improve. doing all the surface tricks and stuff. (: and also i finally getting my passes for my competition. im nervous, yet excited at the same time! hehehs.

but i duno how i manage to sprain my left upper thigh, and its so pain now. but im glad i still manage to struggle through my wakeboarding trainings just now. weeee, determination! (:
wish me luck! hehes.


all the fyp meeting and planning stuff is going to drive me crazy sooner or later. haha. so much to do, so little time! on top of that, theres one thing i dont understand. why arent we given fundings for our Final Year Project? since it is an important aspect of our portfoilo?

i wonder.

anyways, everyone is rushing for time.
i really hope that the hard work will be paid off and may everything run smoothly. ((:
