i remember the past when i used to train for my long distance events back den in secondary school. there was this jogging path that i always run. on good days, i could run more than a round. on normal days one round would be just nice and poorer days are when i start getting tired before i complete the round. but i guess the running did help. it made my secondary school days less stressful especially when exams are round the corner. somehow being in competitive running helped too. it gives you this sort of motivation to drive you further to accomplish more. somemore when you run, you get to feel the wind blowing against your face, through your hair and lifting you off the round! haha, i never forget how it feels.
now, even though i no longer run as often as the past, i still try to do it at least 2-3 times a month. to get back the feeling of those days. i really love running because it releases my stress and makes me feel carefree. even though i no longer run competitively, i still hope to retain my stamina. (:
besides running, i found another sport which i really love.
wakeboarding.
i
fell in love with it the first time i tried it. the feeling of gliding on water is something that cannot really be described. like you are floating on water. it feels, amazing especially when you feel the little splashes on water against your skin under the hot glistering sunrays. but its not just that. after a few more times, try hopping around the water or surfing in and out.
awesome. no doubt there were bad days, when you fall and let the water slap your face - forgetting who you even were for the split second. there's a reason why its called extreme sports. haha.
its all worth it. you feel exhusted, no doubt, but thats where all the fun comes in.
you try and you fall, you fall and you learn, you learn and you improve(: but theres the downside - the holes it burns in my pocket. just for the passion.and to me, it's
sports for life(:
